Fažana and Pula

Fažana is a small and picturesque old fishing town located just 2 km from the Pineta campsite. The 3000-year-old city of Pula, which is the biggest tourist, historical and cultural centre of Istria, is definitely worth visiting.
The town hosts a bevy of entertainment and cultural events during the summer months. The town dates back to the 12th century, which is evidenced by the architectural designs of the different buildings, villas and residences.

You can enjoy excellent restaurants in Pula, as well as an astonishing open stage, the Arena, which is a venue for world class concert spectacles in the summer. There you will find a monumental historical legacy including the Gate of Hercules, the Temple of Apollo and the Roman Amphitheatre (famous for its gladiatorial contests).
